The first offering of Ruby & Pearl:
An arrangement of Samuel Tells of the Baby Jesus, for SATB with piano accompaniment. I hope you enjoy this arrangement as much as I am enjoying it. I hope to get a recording of my choir singing it and post that too. I also hope that more music is on the way. I hope to use my free time well.

There are still some problems. You'll need to write in some "notes" for your choir in three places.
The first place is at measure 11, it's a soprano solo with everyone else doing "Oos." You can just write "Sop:" in front.
The second place comes not long thereafter. Then the altos have a solo while everyone else "Oos." This is at measure 16 and you can just write "Alto:." You'll also notice the lyrics are slightly off. I could only get them to print with the Soprano line of music.
The last problem arises because of this. The men have a duet later and there are NO lyrics showing up, so you need to write it in at measure 36. I recommend writing it in above the line because that's where the men are used to reading the lyrics in the song. Sorry, I know there isn't much space. I hope to trouble-shoot these problems soon but it will just have to stay as-is right now. The lyrics are:
A- cross the sea, in Beth - le- hem,
Lord Je- sus came to Earth
There are no dynamics yet. Small steps. Trying to arrive.
I would like to give credit to Mabel Jones Gabbott and Grietje Terburg Rowley. I've always loved this song from the LDS Childrens Song Book. I used the free music programming software LilyPond. It wasn't easy, but I stuck with the programming and now I can do it so much faster. If you have any questions about getting started, maybe I can help.
Continue moving to a higher plane, and keep improving every day!
Cordially,
Danelle
P.S. Let me know if your choir decides to do it! And how it went!
